Kawartha Lakes home sales edge up year-over-year in November
Residential home sales recorded through the MLS® system for the Kawartha Lakes Real Estate Association Inc. totaled 100 units in November 2019. This was up4.2% (four sales) from November 2018.
On a year-to-date basis, home sales totalled 1,333 units over the first 11 months of the year, rising 7.9% from the same period in 2018.
There were 123 new residential listings in November 2019, climbing 4.2% (five listings) on a year-over-year basis.
Overall supply is up from the extreme lows seen in late 2016 and early 2017 but is still historically low. Active residential listings numbered 364 units at the end of November, up 4.9%from the end of November 2018.
Months of inventory numbered 3.6 at the end of November 2019, unchanged from the end of November 2018 and only about half the long-run average of 7.8 months for this time of year. The number of months of inventory is the number of months it would take to sell current inventories at the current rate of sales activity.
